About the PSAB Research Department
The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs' (PSAB) Research Department is here to serve our 10,000 borough officials across the state. As elected officials and employees in your borough, you are expected to be knowledgeable about a variety of topics. If you have questions about the Borough Code or issues like zoning, budgeting, or responding to Right to Know requests, we can help.
Please peruse this section of the website for the Borough Code, sample ordinances and resolutions, governing resources, state agency information and more. You can also sign up for the Borough Discussion Group (BDG), which is a free, online discussion service for council members, mayors, managers and secretaries. Through the BDG you can communicate with other members about policies, procedures, ordinances, etc.
When contacting PSAB, please include your name, the borough’s name and the office you hold.
For assistance or to submit an inquiry, please contact Shelley A. Houk, Director of Research, at 800-232-7722, Ext. 1018 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org
*Please note that PSAB does not dispense legal advice. Please contact your borough solicitor for legal advice.
