CARES Act Provides Assistance for HomelessMay 11th, 2020
The federal CARES Act provides additional funding to prevent, prepare for, and respond to the coronavirus among individuals and families who are homeless or receive homeless assistance.
The state Department of Community and Economic Development will provide $19.9 million in Emergency Solutions Grant funds for this program, and applications will be accepted until June 1, 2020. Local governments may apply directly or on behalf of a nonprofit organization. There is no match required under this program. For more information or to apply, click here.
