Status of 2nd ARPA Distribution
July 6th, 2022The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs is pleased to provide you with this update on the status of the 2nd round of payments under the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
The Round 1 Reallocation payment will be made on Friday, July 15. This is a total of $1.5 million that was not claimed by municipalities last year - it is being distributed to those who did apply and qualify. Accordingly, the payment totals are relatively small - ranging from $1.90 to $8,262.81.
The Round 2 payment will be sent at a future date. We are being told that DCED can't apply for the Round 2 funds until the Round 1 funds are completely distributed (including the reallocation described above). So that means Round 2 will go out at a future date that is not yet determined.
