Last Call for Nominations from the West for PSAB 2nd Vice President

Each year the Nominating Committee of the Association, chaired by the Immediate Past President (Edward Child), shall meet to certify that all candidates are eligible to hold office in the Association pursuant to Article IV, Section 2 of the Constitution. As outlined in the Constitution of the Association, no two Vice Presidents shall come from the same geographical location (East-West) of the State. Nominations for Second Vice President are solicited from the West this year.
The Bylaws state - Nominations for office in the Association may be submitted by any member borough in good standing. The deadline for submission of nominations shall be two months prior to the opening of the Annual Conference. The Executive Director shall inform all member boroughs of the actual deadline for submission of nominations.
The committee may meet and shall determine with the Executive Director, if nominees are eligible to hold office in the Association pursuant to Article IV, Section 2 of the Constitution. Any nominee who fails to meet the eligibility criteria will not be listed on the ballot at the Annual Conference and will be so notified. A finalized report shall then be provided to the Board of Directors.
The Nominating Committee requests that you carefully consider this matter. If your borough supports a qualified candidate, please submit the name of the person to the Nominating Committee no later than Tuesday, April 1, 2025. All mailings should be sent to the following address:

The candidates should demonstrate qualities such as: a good knowledge of Local Government, sincere dedication to advancing the cause of Borough Government, strong leadership qualities and management skills. The candidate must hold an elected or appointed office in borough government as outlined in the Bylaws of the Association (Councilperson, Mayor, Secretary, or Manager). One of the most important considerations for candidates to hold office is the contribution and commitment the candidate has made to PSAB.
A complete biography of the candidate must be forwarded to the Chair of the Nominating Committee before Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
