State Surplus Property - Heavy Equipment Auction
May 13th, 2025Dept. of General Services Annual Heavy Equipment Auction
The private municipal portion of the annual heavy equipment online auction commenced on Monday, May 12th, and is offering off-road equipment, dump trucks, excavators, plows and other items to municipalities before being offered to the general public for sale. Inspections of equipment are by appointment only.
To register, municipalities can go to www.GovPlanet.com/muni and view available items, receive notices of up-coming municipal sales, and bid on available property. Click “Sign up and get buying privileges on www.govplanet.com” and select the button to “Create free account”.
Email the Account Representative Chris Harris to request access (CHarris@rbauction.com), once registration is completed. He will verify your account and grant you site access, which will allow you to view the available items as they are posted.
Municipalities should work with their Municipal Services Representative and/or Financial Consultant if considering expenditure of Municipal Liquid Fuels funding.
