Budget Bulletin 2021

Your borough’s budget is one of the most important documents created each year. Without a budget, business cannot effectively transpire in your borough. In a single document your budget allocates funding between departments, authorizes expenses, and communicates priorities to your residents.

The 2021 PSAB Budget Bulletin is available to assist your borough during its budget preparation and beyond. This online resource has been produced annually for more than 30 years.

While municipal budgets must be adopted by Dec. 31, boroughs start preparing them many months in advance to allow for public review and adequate time to formulate a budget that is a clear plan for the upcoming year. In a municipal election year, the budget may be reopened and amended per Section 1311 of the Borough Code. An amended budget must be adopted by Feb. 15.
