DCED Releases Request for Proposal for Digital Equity Plan and the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program
November 24th, 2022DCED has released a Request for Proposal (RFP) to competitively procure a consultant to assist with development of a Digital Equity Plan and the Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program 5-Year Action Plan. The RFP is attached, and can be found online here. Friday, January 6 is the deadline for submitting proposals.
DCED has issued a press release to announce our partnership with Penn State Extension. DCED plans to partner with Penn State in early December to host two webinars for the general public, local governments, counties, and other partners to conduct an FCC mapping demo, educate about the challenge process, etc. .
DCED plans to send a short survey to local units of government seeking input on initiatives to increase broadband access. DCED designed the survey to identify existing efforts, appropriate points of contact, and to foster collaboration between the Authority, Counties, and Municipalities. The survey will be sent on Monday, November 28 and we will request responses by December 30.
