Boroughs Recognized at Local Government Day Awards

Last week the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) recognized numerous municipalities and local government officials throughout the Commonwealth at the 29th Annual Governor's Awards for Local Government Excellence for their dedication to impoving their communities. 

The awards ceremony took place during Pennsylvania Local Government Day, which recognizes the need for effective local government and honors those who are dedicated to impoving the lives of people in their community. 

Borough officials who were recognized include:

• Tammy Firda, Council Member, Lincoln Borough, Allegheny County
• Diane Schaefer, Borough Manager, Youngwood Borough, Westmoreland County (Member of PSAB Board of Directors)
