Multimodal Transportation Fund Grants

The Multimodal Transportation Fund provides grants to support economic development and ensure a reliable transportation system in Pennsylvania.

Application Period:

• Annually accepted between March 1 and July 31
• All applications and supplemental materials must be submitted electronically by July 31 for possible review at the November CFA board meeting

Eligible Uses:

• Development, rehabilitation, and enhancement of transportation assets
• Streetscape improvements, lighting, sidewalk upgrades, pedestrian safety, and transit connectivity

Eligible Applicants:

• Municipalities
• Councils of Governments
• Businesses
• Economic Development Organizations
• Public Transportation Agencies
• Ports (Rail/Freight)

Funding Details:

• Project cost must be $100,000 or more
• Maximum grant amount: $3,000,000 per project
