Final Broadband Equity Access and Development Funding Now Open

July 18th, 2025

The Pennsylvania Broadband Development Authority (PBDA) has opened the final round of applications for the $1.16 billion BEAD (Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment) Program. This federal funding, part of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, aims to provide affordable, high-speed internet to unserved and underserved communities across Pennsylvania. Eligible applicants have until August 1, 2025, to apply, with awards expected to be announced later this year.  Broadband expansion seeks to close the digital divide and improve education, employment, and healthcare access.
