PEMA Announces BRIC Grants Availability

April 3rd, 2026

The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) received information regarding the 2024/2025 Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA)  Building Resilient Infrastructure & Communities (BRIC) Grant Application Period.  The Building Resilient Infrastructure & Communities (BRIC) has had $1 billion allocated this year.  The Flood Mitigation Assistance (FMA) grant application opening timeline has not been determined.  Those FY2024 BRIC Applicants that were deemed eligible and place applications in FEMA GO at that time, need to put in a new letter of interest and after PEMA approval, place a new application in FEMA GO.

Due to the changes in the priorities and eligible activates between the original FY24 NOFO and this current one, it is not recommended that applications be copied over. Please review the priorities and changes to only submit applications that are in compliance with this newly released NOFO.

Attached for your review is the recently released BRIC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFOs), PEMA BRIC Guidance document and the FEMA BRIC Advisory.
